Privacy Policy
Calendar App provides calendar and reminder management features for iPhone users. This policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and the choices available to users.
Information we access
- Google account email address, when required to show the connected account.
- Google Calendar data, including calendar lists, event details, and related metadata needed for scheduling features.
- Google Tasks data, including task lists, task titles, due dates, notes, and completion status.
- Local calendar data from iOS EventKit if the user grants calendar permission on the device.
How information is used
- To sign the user in to their own Google account.
- To display calendars, events, and tasks inside the app.
- To create, update, complete, or delete events and tasks when requested by the user.
- To maintain sync state and provide calendar functionality.
Data sharing
Calendar App does not sell or share Google user data with third parties. The app sends data only to Google's Calendar and Tasks APIs when needed to provide an action requested by the user.
Data storage
To provide offline display and preserve preferences, the app stores a local cache of calendar sources, event and task details, and app settings in UserDefaults within the app's iOS container. The Google Sign-In SDK stores the sign-in state and credentials in the iOS Keychain. The local Google calendar and task cache is removed when the user disconnects their Google account in the app. Calendar and task data is used only to provide the functionality requested by the user.
How we protect Google user data
We use security procedures designed to protect the confidentiality of Google user data. The app communicates with Google APIs only over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections. Google account access is authorized through Google OAuth, and the Google Sign-In SDK stores credentials in the iOS Keychain. Locally cached calendar and task data is kept in the app's iOS sandbox, which is isolated from other apps. The app does not apply separate application-level encryption to this local cache, and it does not transmit Google Calendar or Google Tasks data to our own servers or to third parties.
User choices
- Users can disconnect their Google account from within the app; this removes the locally cached Google calendar and task data.
- Users can revoke the app's access from their Google account permissions settings.
- Users can remove the app from their device at any time.
